Hey! I’m Miguel, the leader of the day, and today was great since we had two great speakers.
The speakers took time out of their day to share their parties points of view, which are on different sides of the political spectrum here in Matagalpa. One speaker in particular, Mario Prado, left an impact on me because he made me think that we can do anything we want in life. We also watched a movie called The Wave that showed a class that took a history project on dictatorships for real; the class went too far by changing the mindset of the other students.
I relate to what goes on here in Nicaragua; lots of people see and know about the corruption that takes place here in Matagalpa and still re-elect the same people into office. Something I found great was that the Glimpsers and me asked many questions that made made the speakers and the Glimpsers think deeply about what’s going on here in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.
It was surely good seeing the group of glimpsers from BCSM. I am sure when you get back home your view in politics will change. Always remember to keep an open mind. I was a bit disappointed that I was not able to see Giselle. Please keep up the good work all of you.
Great post Miguel! Good to see that you are engaging into the experience and what Matagalpa has to offer. So encouraging to see you write about the day and really understand some of the political issues that surround Nicaragua. Food for thought for your presidency at Eagle!
