Hey ~ My name is Katy and I am so excited to meet all of you and begin our adventures in Constanza! Traveling to new communities, exploring new cultures, and sharing all those experiences together will be amazing.

My professional experiences are somewhat vast – from working on a cruise ship to volunteer coordination. But, I have also been in traditional classrooms teaching in public and private schools: Syracuse, New York, Greenville, North Carolina, and all over California. I have been a children’s librarian (California) and facilitated library programs (California and New York) which focused on providing new Americans with computer skills, basic English skills, and (my favorite) preparation for citizenship.

My travels have taken me to Europe, Mexico, Canada, and China; every trip has created new friendships. I enjoy learning anything new. It won’t take long to notice, but music is part of my daily existence (when I sing too much, just tell me to stop!). Nothing better than live performances. Reading is a daily treat, especially international authors, graphic novels, and a mystery or two. My favorite things to do include getting together with friends, sending postcards around the world (and to friends), eating eggplant in new and delightful ways, and visiting galleries and museums wherever I travel.

Hasta luego ~
