Hello Global Glimpsers and families! My name is Anette Noroña and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs). I am so excited to meet all of you and am looking forward to getting to know you and see you grow during the 16 days we have together!

This will be my third trip with Global Glimpse! I loved how inspiring the experience and the students were and so, as tiring as it was, I committed myself this year to co-lead your delegation.  I have traveled extensively (20+ countries) and have also called many places home – the Middle East, Philippines, Los Angeles, and now the Bay Area. Aside from traveling internationally every year, I love to move (yoga, dancing) and I am a big fan of the outdoors (hiking every week, learning how to surf and rock climb).

I love traveling as I see the world as a classroom – a place to challenge and also nurture me. I taught in San Francisco and now I teach Social Studies at Overfelt High School in San Jose and I cannot wait to bring back what I learned from our trip and from you all and share it with my students. I have also immersed myself in social justice work and think that traveling and understanding peoples’ stories from around the world teaches us to become humbler, more responsible, and compassionate global citizens.

Can’t wait to see you all on June 5th!!!

Big love,
Anette
