HELLO GLIMPSERS!

Shout out from your Constanza Program Coordinators, John and Carissa!

My name is Carissa, I was born in Oxnard, California and first came to the Dominican Republic as a Peace Corps Volunteer. The first time I experienced Dominican culture I knew I would love this place forever- I can’t wait for you all to get to experience the same love and adventure.

My name is John, Haitian born and Dominican by resident. In order to complete my studies in 2005, I moved from Haiti to the Dominican Republic. Since then,I have been learning a lot and also inspiring vision and leadership in my community here in the DR . I am looking forward to host and give you all the best experience here in the DR so that you may become real Change Makers in our society.

We are both so excited to meet all of you and show you the beautiful valley of Constanza! Get ready for nice days and some chilly nights in this tropical island. We have planned some great activities for you to experience this summer to help ensure that you have a wonderful learning and inspiring experience.

Aside from planning, we have been working with amazing communities that are excited to open their doors to us this summer and give us a glimpse of their lives and work.

We look forward to meeting all of you and learning about your dreams and aspirations. We are very glad that you were chosen to join us this summer and can’t wait to learn from you and with you!

Remember to double check your packing list for dress code expectations and other important items (durable closed-toed shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.)

We’d love to hear more from you, please tell us a bit about who you are, where you come from, what are you most excited about?

Wishing you a safe flight, see you soon!
