Sorry the blog wasn’t given to you last night. I know you guys wanted to hear about the wonderful day we had yesterday.
Yesterday was July 9th, that means it was Anthony’s birthday- HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ANTHONY!- and we only have half of the trip left. The day started with gallo pinto and eggs with pineapple orange juice. After breakfast we left so we can get started on the fun part of the day. The Glimpsers traveled to the Chocolate Factory which was very AMAZINGGGGG. We got to put on hats that made everyone look like Chef Boyardee, but it made Mr. O’ Malley look like Luigi from Super Mario Bros. When the tour was over many of the Glimpsers bought some of the chocolate and tea… maybe you guys will be lucky and that chocolate is for you.
We left the Chocolate Factory and headed over to Cascada Blanca, it means white waterfall, and we took plenty of pictures of the waterfall or us in front of the waterfall. Then after the picture taking we went to travel behind the Cascada Blanca which ended up with a lot of people getting soaked, myself included, because we didn’t bring rain gear. Then we took more pictures in the cave we were in and some of saw the bats that were deep in the back of the cave. Finally, leaving the cave we went to the little restaurant at Cascade Blanca and as we were finishing up lunch, spaghetti for some and chicken with rice for others, and in come Miss Matagalpa, Miss Nicaragua and Miss Canada. Many Glimpsers were excited, especially the birthday boy, and asked to take pictures with them.
It was time to go back to the hostel so everyone can have free time and get ready for dinner. Last night we went to a restaurant called La Vita e Bella and the pizza there was AWESOMESAUCE. It was the first American food we had in a while. Then we sang happy birthday to Anthony which surprised him a lot. Alex kept eating all the birthday cake and the pizza. The night ended with the nightly meeting which ran very… different from the usual. I passed down the torch AGAIN ,this makes me supreme leader instead of Alex, and Hayley is now the leader of the day. Her talent was very different, I can’t even describe it, but it made Lee show one of his many talents.
