Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Troy y yo soy el líder del día para el sábado. Era mi cumpleaños también. Hemos estado muy ocupados con las actividades y pedir disculpas por no haber podido hacer un blog todos los días.
Hello everyone! My name is Troy and I am the leader of the day for Saturday. It was my birthday also. We have been really busy with activities and apoligize for not being able to blog every day.
Everyone is doing well and really taking in all the culture they can. On Friday we learned about our Community Action Project (CAP). We will be remodeling the garden at the local private school, Colegio Benjamin Zeledon. We will be building a sustainable water system to water the garden. The agriculture class at the High School will be maintaining the garden and distributing the food to a local elderly home or the poor.
After we enjoyed Eskimo (Ice Cream) and tasted the unique and different flavor of the Ice Cream in Central America.
The highlight of Friday had to of been the Beauty Contest we watched at La Salle. Young men and women of Jinotega modeled in a fashion show and danced. We had fun meeting locals and dancing with them.
