Hey Y’all,
My name is Kerrlene and I am going to be the Global Glimpse Leader for the Dominican Republic. My delegation is going to San Cristobal on the 29th of July and I can’t wait to meet you all.
Currently I reside in Caceres, Spain which is a small village (though not so small compared to other villages) in the province of Extremadura. One thing that you all should know about me is that I love to travel! The travel bug bit me in 2011 when I studied abroad at the London School of Economics for a year and I have not been able to stay in the same spot for long since then. (Ahhhhh! you must be thinking, what an exciting life you lead) Well that is true! My travels throughout the world have left me with some amazing stories of daring, adventure, excitement and the occasional bout of home sickness. I have survived it all and I am so excited to be your Leader.
The reason I became a Global Glimpse leader is because I want you all to have a hand in designing your own travel journey. We often think of travelling as something one does on vacation, or when you have free time (or even a retirement goal) but you all have the opportunity to really make a difference right here, right now, in this moment. You have the most powerful super power in the world, the power of choice . Use it wisely (though I think you all already have in deciding to become Glimpsers).
I look forward to meeting you all and seeing how your leadership styles develop as you go through the different challenges and adventures on this trip. I am excited for the leaders that you will become and for you to discover your individual strengths.
