Buenas tardes, Líderes Mundiales,
I am very excited to be one of your trip leaders this summer to Nicaragua. This is my first time visiting Central America. I can’t wait to meet you all and share in this powerful experience.
A little about myself: I am a middle school science teacher in San Francisco—my hometown. This year, I taught algebra and physical science at International Studies Academy. I have been teaching middle school for two years. Before becoming a teacher, I studied economics at Cal, where I focused on international development and statistics. The work and explorations we will be doing together are fascinating. When I was in college, I lead a weeklong service trip to Tijuana, Mexico, which challenged my world-perception such that I gave up a career in finance to pursue teaching. And this was only a week. You will get three! Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar, writing music, and building electronic gadgets from scratch.
I will be calling some of you over the next few weeks to make sure you are on track for the trip. If you need to get a hold of me, please call or text me at 650-784-9554. You can also email me at [email protected], and either Lauren or I will reply within 24 hours. Thanks.
Atentamente,
Charles Lee
