Us in SFO before take off at our Gate:
All the luggage arrived and both flights were comfortable and uneventful.
AND THEN… Done Done Done…
The adventure began at Customs. We had an issue with a student that was not allowed entry. The immigration officers here are so kind and really felt terrible.
Here is our photo from Panama airport
.
Lucas and Erik conducted the first nightly meeting at the airport because we were still holding out hope that Liza and Michael would miraculously walk down the hall. We really didn’t want to leave without them… and we knew the US and Panama staff were working on it in full force.
Alas, when it became clear that folks were not able to let him pass, we headed into Panama City.
Liza and Michael spent the night at the airport as the rest of us reluctantly left for our hostel.
Dominos for dinner since we did not get to the hostel until after 10 pm.
Quick showers and bed nighty night.
So wonderful to know your delegation made it safely!
Looking forward to reading more about your adventures in the next 15 days. A special hello to Mira from her family!
