Hello there! My name is Melido and I’m from the Dominican Republic visiting Costa Rica for the first time (super exciting already!) It is my second year running student programs and my first year doing it abroad, in my free time, I enjoy doing hikes and visiting hidden gems in nature, doing yoga, and swimming as a sport. I have traveled to a few countries myself as a traveler and getting to know a new one through this experience is something I’m incredibly looking forward to.
I currently work as an interpreter for which you will notice my English seems a bit advanced but make no mistake as Spanish is my first language and the one I feel most comfortable in. With that said, can’t wait to meet you all!

My name is María Vásquez. I am a Social Worker and Mental Health Promoter. I LOVE nature, landscapes, waterfalls, and natural paradises. I grew up in the countryside, so I am an outdoorsy person who finds a sense of life by Hiking, Rafting, Rappelling, and Kayaking, but also resting and spending time with family and friends.
I could describe my experience with teenagers in three main words: strength, motivation, and resilience. When groups share empathy, clear communication, listening, and managing a sense of belonging, these experiences become experiences for life.
So, I hope we can share all these values here, as I can show you this little paradise in Costa Rica making a positive impact in everyone’s life, and, why not? continue leading and learning to impact other people’s lives.
