Hola familia! First of all, appologies for the late post, the internet is very slow here, so thank you for your patience. On the 27th of July, we went to la Tarabita, a farm owned by Mr. Oscar Oscar Garcia. He showed us around his farm, where we saw a few baby pigs and their mother, a fish pond, guinea pigs, and a large assortments of fruits and vegetables. He then brought us to renew the soil using hoes, rakes, and our bare hands. A few of us went to help Oscar’s sister at the kitchen, making our lunch, which was partially filled with chicken and Cuy (guinea pig). Later on, we returned to the hotel where we had an hour of free time. After that, we worked on our Community Action Plan and had to present it in front of a principal and a teacher of FAE school. We then had dinner, participated in our regular nightly meeting, and passed on the torch to our new leaders (Wilber and Carlos).

Best regards:

Mahyar and Derek 🙂
