Hi everyone! It’s Daniel and Zariyah, We were the Leaders of the Day for our final CAP delivery day 3. Today was such an improvement from yesterday! Even though some of our group was out the previous day from sickness (including both of us), we were able to make a speedy recovery and return to work the next day. For breakfast, we had delicious fluffy pancakes served with Dominican fried cheese, some fresh fruit, mashed plantains, and orange juice. After breakfast, we and the rest of the group went to the fields and finished our section of the CAP project for this program. Some of the people did the digging with shovels and some of us used pick-axes. After we finished up at the work site, we returned to the Rancho Ruisenor for lunch. We had chicken and rice with tuna and a salad. After lunch, we chilled for a bit, but after a few minutes, we returned to the fields to finish the job. We got to see the families that the water pipes would be helping. They greeted us with smiles, appreciation, and snacks. We enjoyed seeing the families and getting to see our impact on the community. Overall getting to see the families and a portion of our finished product left us with a smile on our faces and the families as well.

See you all soon 😉
