A short introduction
Hello you all! My name is Evelyn Sulem, your co-Global Glimpse Leader. I was born and raised in Mexico City, until I decided to explore the wide world about 17 years ago. My first stop was Australia where I lived in Brisbane for about a semester. Then I moved to Germany, where I went to graduate school and met my now-husband (Jared). Jared and I got married and move to his home country, England. In England I obtained my doctorate in Sociology and taught first year undergraduate at The University of Warwick.
One day in spring, my husband received an offer to come and work in the Silicon Valley, and this is how I ended here. After having two amazing daughters, Leah and Noora, I decided to become a high school teacher. This is my 3rd year teaching World and US History at Lincoln High in San Francisco and I love it!
What I like to do…
I love long walks! Being in contact with nature helps me find my balance and calm down after long prep-hours. I enjoy listening to podcasts and listening to audiobooks. At the moment my favorite podcast is RadioLab.
